Wine Business Monthly published the results of a survey on the complexities of direct shipments. The survey indicated that wineries are increasingly frustrated with the current compliance landscape.

  • One respondent felt, “It's easier to sell a toy imported from abroad dipped in lead paint than a bottle of wine to the state next door”

  • Over 80% of wineries surveyed are not shipping to all available states. Of those wineries, the costs and complexity of filing were identified as the primary reasons.
